Not only were the four young musicians considered one of the most exciting upcoming indie bands of the time with quite successful singles in 2020 and 2021, but on 22.04.2022 their debut album will be released, which will also contain the singles "Mean" and "Make Out"."Make Out" already showed, in the best Riot Grrrl manner, clearly the rough side of the band: obviously, in the well-assorted record collection of the 4 young musicians:nnen, one or the other vinyl of The Clash or Hole can also be found.Regarding the debut album, herewith a spoiler warning: this band occupies so purposefully different styles of popular music that it is a pleasure to follow them in their journey. So there is room in their world for pop ballads, like rock beasts, prog rock pieces, and punk songs - the band can be loud and wild, only to openly show the other side of their mentality with an emotional song in the next moment. This band is a statement against the superficiality of streaming algorithm driven mass production in pop. It is about art. It's about sustainability. It's about records that stay.The botb members themselves call what they do 'Riot Wave'. An apt description, because their heritage goes back not only to the Riot Grrls movement of the late 80s and especially to the terrifically pissy group Babes in Toyland, but also further into the past to the edgy synth lines of now obscure formations like Romeo Void or The Motels. A pinch of current music like St. Vincent or Porridge Radio is nevertheless not to be ignored.
