How to place an order at finestvinyl

A customer account at finestvinyl allows you to:

  • Save your billing and shipping addresses so you don’t have to type them in each time you order
  • Track your order shipment (please note: this might not be available depending on which country you’re ordering from)
  • Review your order history
  • Manage your voucher codes/gift certificates
  • Receive special offers/discounts that are only available to registered customers


You would like to open a customer account with finestvinyl? Great!

Simply click on “register now” below the customer log-in on the top right of our welcome page. Alternatively, you will be given the opportunity to register for a customer account during the ordering process. Of course you can delete your customer account (all the way to the bottom in “my account”) any time. Obviously, we would be sorry to see you go.


Ordering as a registered finestvinyl customer

Once you’ve registered for a finestvinyl customer account, you can log onto your account at the top right corner of our welcome page using your e-mail address und password. You can then browse our shop and buy records, merchandise and accessories. You put items in your shopping basket (as we’re a vinyl mailorder, we call it “record bag”) by clicking the “BUY”-button on the detailed product page. Here you can use the drop-down menu to change the number of items you would like to order and the colour and size of merchandise before you put the item into your record bag. Once you’ve put an item into your record bag you can either keep browsing or start the order process. If you’d like to review your shopping bag while you’re browsing, simply click on “my record bag” (top right corner) or the orange bookmark (“basket”) at the top of the page.


Order process

A click on “my record bag“ or “basket” will let you review your order and make changes. Below the overview of the items you can redeem a voucher code or a gift certificate.

Step 1: your details (billing address, shipping address)

Step 2: shipping method (please note: there may be only a single option for your country)

Step 3: payment method (credit card and PayPal only for countries other than Germany)

Step 4: order overview, payment details, final order and payment by clicking on “BUY”



The wishlist function allows registered customers to store items that you’re interested in but do not want to buy straight away until your next visit (or the one after that or the one after that…) until you finally want to buy the item. You can delete items from your wishlist whenever you're logged into your account.


Ordering without a finestvinyl account

Simply follow the steps detailed under “Order Process”. Shopping as a guest you will have to type in your personal details with each new order. You will not be able to keep a wishlist or to redeem/manage voucher codes or gift certificates. Our tracking service and the personal order history is only available to registered customers.


Voucher Code/Gift Certificate

You’ve been given a finestvinyl gift certificate or received one of our promotional voucher codes? Please note that you will need to register as a customer in order to access/save a remaining balance until your next purchase. Simply enter the voucher code during the check out process and click on "redeem" to redeem your voucher code. Please note that you will only be able to enter one voucher code per order.

Delivery Time

Please refer to the table above to find out about average delivery times and shipping costs for your country. Your order will usually be shipped on the same day when you pay by credit card or PayPal – that is if your order is processed before noon (CET+1h) and every item in your order is in stock. At the weekend or on German/Austrian bank holidays your order will be processed on the next working day. Of course the estimated delivery times are not valid for pre-order items that will be shipped on the release date nor for items that are not in stock at the time of ordering.

You will be notified by e-mail about the progress of your order. Clicking on “my orders” in your customer account allows you to review your orders and to track your shipment so you can anticipate when your order finally arrives at its destination. Please note: the tracking service might not be available for shipments into your country.

Pre-Order/Out of stock/extended delivery time

If your order contains a pre-order item it will be shipped on the item’s release day. The item detail page specifies the release date. If the same order contains items that are in stock it will only be shipped once the items of the entire order are available, i.e. once the pre-order item is officially released. Partial shipments are possible. Please contact our customer service on mail@finestvinyl.de to arrange a delivery. Please note that this will result in higher shipping costs.




This is how you return a faulty item to finestvinyl

You will find the complete declaration of the right of revocation for German customers in your order confirmation, in your customer account or under „Terms“ at the bottom of each page.


If your order contains a faulty or an incorrect item please get in touch with the finestvinyl customer service using the contact form (“Contact Us” at the bottom of each page), select “I’d like to return an item I ordered” and specify your order number, which item from your order is affected and what is wrong with it. If you are making use of your right of revocation you shall be liable to cover the costs for returning the item if the value of the item is under 40 EUR or if the returned goods do not exceed an amount of 40 EUR or if you have not -  in cases of higher price of the item at the time of the revocation - reciprocated or made the down-payment as provided in the contract. Failing this, finestvinyl will pay for the return shipment. Unfortunately, carriage forward shipments ("receiver pays") cannot be accepted as this results in unnecessary costs. Please pre-pay your return shipment – you will be refunded the postage in case of a valid claim.


Of course you will be refunded in case of a valid claim. If you have paid by credit card we will reverse the amount to your credit card. PayPal payment will be refunded directly to your PayPal account. If you have made a bank transfer or used the instant transfer service the amount will be refunded to your bank account.
