Seminal Australian late 70s synth-punk originators PRIMITIVE CALCULATORS return. The band formed in Melbourne in 1978, and are known for their use of a screeching Mosrite Ventures model guitar, primitive synths and drum machines. In 1979 The Primitive Calculators recorded a clas-sic 7inch ("Cant Stop It" c/w "Do That Dance"), and a startling original abrasive live LP, before playing their last gig in March 1980. In 2009, at the request of Nick Cave, the Primitive Calcula-tors reformed for the inaugural Australian All Tomorrow's Parties music festival.
