Palila was formed in April 2019 by Matthias Schwettmann (vocals, guitars). Christoph Kirchner (bass, backing vocals) joined from the very beginning. Manuel Tröndle plays drums on the first two EPs (Are we happy now? [2019] and "Tomorrow I'll come visit you and return your records [2020]). Their 10-days-release-tour had to be canceled in May 2020 due to the corona epidemic. In June the label Kapitän Platte signed the band and released both their EPs as a double EP on vinyl in October 2020. In early 2021 Sascha Krüger became the new drummer of Palila and they recorded their debut "Rock'n'Roll Sadness" in summer 2021. It will be released on November 12th 2021 via Kapitän Platte.
