'Once Twice Melody', das erste komplett von Beach House produzierte Album, wurde im Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls (Minnesota), im United Studio in Los Angeles und in den Apple Orchard Studios in Baltimore (Maryland) aufgenommen. Zum ersten Mal kam ein Live-Streicherensemble mit Arrangements von David Campbell zum Einsatz.
