Mit ihrem Debütalbum "Musique Des Tziganes De Roumanie" machten sie 1991 das erste Mal auf sich aufmerksam: Taraf de Haïdouks. Die zwölf Musiker des rumänischen Orchesters veröffentlichten vier Jahre später ihr viel gerühmtes Nachfolgealbum. Die 16 Lieder von "Honourable Brigands, Magic Horses And Evil Eye" wurden in Bukarest aufgenommen, das Album erhielt hierzulande die Auszeichnung "Weltmusikalbum des Jahres 1995".
