Der 1984 von Heiko Maile, Oliver Kreyssig und Marcus Meyn in Bietigheim-Bissingen gegründeten Band "Camouflage" gelang 1988 mit ihrem Debüt- Album "Voices & Images" ein internationaler Überraschungs-Erfolg, der vom folgenden Album "Methods of Silence" noch übertroffen wurde. Noch heute zählen Songs wie "The Great Commandment" und "Love Is A Shield" zu den Klassikern des Synthie-Pop-Genres.
