Tav Falco gehört seit den 70er-Jahren zu den außergewöhnlichsten Musikern der USA. Beeinflusst von Punk, Rockabilly, Garage-Rock und Blues gründete er 1979 in Memphis zusammen mit seinem Mentor Alex Chilton die Wreckabilly-Band Panther Burns. Seit 1981 veröffentlichte der Musiker, Schauspieler, Filmemacher und Fotograf regelmäßig Platten, die zahlreiche Musiker - von Jon Spencer Blues Explosion über The Fall, Spacemen 3 bis Spiritualized - beeinflusst haben.
