Few records crossed over into different musical worlds as successfully as the Funk Masters" sublime UK disco/jazz-funk monster classic cut "Love Money". A monster underground hit in New York - everywhere from Larry Levan"s Paradise Garage and David Mancuso"s Loft in New York - through to the new wave/no wave dance crowds at Area, Club 57, Danceteria, Limelight and Mudd Club, and artists such as Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat who similarly played the track to death.
