Anlässlich seines 15-jährigen Bestehens vermeldet das Label Staubgold die Wiederveröffentlichung des kompletten Backkatalogs der The 49 Americans. Die britische Do-it-yourself-Supergroup wurde von Andrew "Giblet" Brenner 1979 gegründet und war ein loser, dem Demokratie- und Gleichheitsgedanken verpflichteter Zusammenschluss von Musikern und Nichtmusikern. Mit dabei waren u. a. David Toop (u. a. The Flying Lizards), der Pianist Steve Beresford, der Künstler Max Eastley, der Saxofonist Lol Coxhill und Viv Albertine von den Slits. Die Compilation enthält in der CD-Ausgabe die komplette LP "We Know Nonsense", im Original erschienen im Jahr 1982, sowie 23 Bonus-Tracks vom ersten Album "Wonder" (1980) und der "The 49 Americans-EP" von 1979.
