"Blues and Beyond" von Gary Moore ist eine bemerkenswerte Kollektion seiner kraftvollen, gefühlsbetonten Blues-Aufnahmen. "Blues and Beyond" wird als 4LP erscheinen.

Am bekanntesten ist Moore für seine Solohits Parisienne Walkways und Still Got the Blues (wovon auch Livemitschnitte im Set enthalten sind) sowie seine Mitgliedschaft bei der Band Thin Lizzy. Während seiner Solokarriere veröffentlichte er jedoch insgesamt mehr als 20 Alben. Im Laufe der 80er stieg er im Rock-Olymp immer höher auf, wendete sich dann jedoch schnell vom für ihn eher unbedeutenden Metal ab und wieder der Musik seines Herzens zu: dem Blues - womit er dann in den 1990ern und 2000ern auch seinen größten kommerziellen Erfolg feierte.
